Lend a Hand - Wish List

If you're looking for other ways to lend a hand to Sky Ranch, check out our Wish List document. It outline our different program areas and their corresponding needs. We are so grateful for the generosity of the Sky Ranch community and appreciate all the ways you help to insure the work of this ministry continues.

If you have a group of your own, you can also schedule your own work weekend! Groups have remodeled cabins and tackled other larger projects in congregational groups. Email jeff@skyranchcolorado.org for more information.

April 19-21, 2024

Registration for this weekend is closed. Look out for our 2025 date!

April’s opening work weekend focuses on waking Sky Ranch from winter hibernation: unpacking pantries, vehicles, kitchen, deep cleaning, and special projects that need to be accomplished before guests arrive. This weekend has the potential to be somewhat primitive with simple hearty meals, warm sleeping places, fellowship, and limited running water depending on how the water system start-up process is progressing. Lodging and meals are provided at no cost.

May 24-27, 2024

Please register by Sunday, May 19th.

Memorial Day Work Weekend focuses on summer preparation: setting program areas, splitting firewood for campfires, re-mulching paths, organizing the camp store, more deep cleaning, bigger projects such as deck construction and repair, bathroom remodels, siding replacement and paint, picnic table construction, planting the raised garden beds, etc. This weekend is well attended, averaging 40-50 volunteers each year. This is a great weekend for friends and family to enjoy camp and give back. Projects are available for all ages and abilities. Lodging and meals provided at no cost.

October 18-20, 2024

Please register by Wednesday, Oct. 16th.

October’s weekend undoes everything we did in April and May; we focus on winterizing buildings and vehicles, pack away fall program items, last chance projects for site/facility needs, split and stack firewood, burn slash piles, and tidy up camp for the winter. Lodging and meals provided at no cost.
