When you arrive to drop off your child, please bring all medications to the check-in table. You will have an opportunity to consult with the nurse to discuss the best approach for your camper's medication requirements.
Are there scholarships available, and if so, what is the application process?
Campership Request Form →Yes, scholarships are available for participants at Sky Ranch. The application process is straightforward: if you need financial assistance for your child to attend camp, simply complete the campership request form. After submitting the form, a member of our staff will reach out to discuss your specific needs and how we can help. There is no requirement for proof of income or other documentation, making it easier for everyone to access camp. Additionally, if you are affiliated with a Lutheran congregation, they may also contribute to the camp fee. Our primary goal is to ensure that all interested children have the opportunity to experience camp.
What paperwork is required for my child to participate in camp?
View Camper Forms →For your camper, the required paperwork includes:
- A completed Participant Release Form for all participants, both youth and adults.
- A Health Form for youth campers.

My child has a food allergy; how does Sky Ranch accommodate this?
Click to Call Sky RanchSky Ranch accommodates most types of food allergies and preferences through an "allergen aware" policy. Our food service staff are trained and certified in best practices for food preparation, handling, and preventing cross-contamination. However, due to the limited size of our facilities and factors beyond our control, we cannot guarantee that any item is 100% free of a specific allergen. If you or your child has a serious allergy, we recommend contacting our office to speak with Jeff Fairfax, our Operations and Property Director, who oversees food service at camp.
Does Sky Ranch have a Camp Store? When is it open?
Yes, Sky Ranch has a camp store that is open daily for all campers. We offer a variety of items, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, water bottles, stickers, and ice cream treats. We suggest sending your camper with no more than $50, but $10 is sufficient for a couple of ice cream treats and a sticker. If you're planning to pick up your camper on Friday, there's a designated time during the pick-up window to stop by the store and grab any last-minute items.
If you'd like to add money to your camper's account before their camp week, you can do so through their camper profile or by calling our office.
What should I bring for my week at camp?
Packing List →When gearing up for your mountain camp adventure, packing smart is crucial due to the unpredictable weather! Here’s a list of items we suggest you toss in your bag:
Where do campers sleep during their time at camp?
Campers in 1st to 8th grade sleep in rustic camper cabins, which accommodate 10 campers each with twin bunkbeds. These cabins are equipped with heat and electricity and are conveniently located near the shower house.
High school campers, while on-site, sleep in canvas tents either by the creek at Beaver Flats or in the open meadow at Beaver Meadows. The exception to this is our Mountain Movers High School campers, who enjoy the comfort of cabins throughout their week at camp.
For backpacking groups, they sleep out on the trail and will join the other high school campers when they are in camp.
