Reconnect - Renew - Reimagine

Join us for a meaningful Alumni Retreat Weekend at Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp—a time to reconnect with old friends, relive favorite camp traditions, and renew your connection to this sacred mountain community.

Throughout the weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Hear exciting updates about Sky Ranch and learn more about the ministry’s current vision, opportunities, and needs for the future
  • Participate in meaningful work projects that help care for and improve camp
  • Enjoy classic camp activities like hiking, crafts, and time in nature
  • Gather around the campfire for singing, stories, and s’mores
  • Share in fellowship, laughter, and meals with fellow alumni and friends of camp
  • Celebrate God’s presence together through worship and reflection

Whether you spent one summer or many at Sky Ranch, this weekend is your chance to return to the mountains, rekindle your camp spirit, and support the ongoing mission of a place that has shaped so many lives. We can’t wait to welcome you home!

LET'S EXPLORE THIS YEAR'S OPPORTUNITIES

Sky Ranch was the ancestral lands of the Arapaho,   Mountain Ute and Cherokee tribes. Following this period   the property became the homestead of Tom Bennett, who   hoped to carve a ranch livelihood underneath the   “Mummy  Range” of the Colorado Rockies. The Bennett’s   operated the Gold Nugget until the early years of World   War II. During this time the building now known as the   Backpack Center (formally Comanche peak lodge) was   constructed.

Incorporated into this building is a beautiful stone   fireplace. Over the last 12 years the fireplace started   showing its age and repairs were made. In 2021 the   fireplace was inspected and deemed structurally   compromised and unsafe. We have not lit a fire in this   historic fireplace since. This project consists of full demo   of the existing fireplace, re framing of exterior wall, new   fireplace insert and stone work, and overall building   structural improvements.

Project Cost:  $75,000
