Environmental Education at Sky Ranch is designed to provide an immersive and exciting place for students to experience the outdoors. Sky ranch creates a space where students can engage with nature in a deeper way, while also creating meaningful relationships with their classmates. We are surrounded by Roosevelt National Forest, providing a unique environment to see, hear, and learn more about nature.
Curriculum is targeted to Elementary & Middle school and have programs for both Christian and Public schools for groups of varying sizes. If you are interested in starting a conversation about designing an environmental ed. trip, please fill out the interest form below.
Learning about nature is fun, and here at Sky Ranch this especially true! It's important that in having fun, we're also learning about ways we are to respect and understand the nature surround us. At Sky Ranch, you experience the wilderness firsthand. It is in this safe and controlled environment, that students will gain respect and knowledge for nature.
Nature is amazing! At Sky Ranch we are fortunate to be immersed in a unique and beautiful Rocky Mountain Environment. Because of this we can experience with all our senses what amazing things the world is doing around us all the time!
The goal of education does not end once your time at Sky Ranch is over. Students will be taught the importance of taking the knowledge they've learn about the environment and the appreciation they've found, down the mountain into their homes and communities. The work we are doing today, is so that the world we experience can be preserved for future generations.
There are few places where nature surrounds you in the way it does at Sky Ranch. Camp sits on 117 acres at 9,200 ft above sea level surrounded by National Forest and only 3.3 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park.
Our emphasis on individual and group development is a catalyst to building a close and unique community. Our experiences always include an element of team building as it is a key component to the success of our programs as well as our goal of bringing these experiences down the mountain.
With great knowledge comes great responsibility! And the knowledge gained at Sky Ranch is too valuable not to share with our communities down the mountain. Our mission for students is to become advocates for the environment and our future.
